I’m Carl. I have had a fascination with light since I was a child, I remember watching my own shadow and squinting at the sun to see it glow. I have chosen to explore my sensory vision through a lens, I’m creating pauses in a constant flow of movement. I try to honor my inner child as much as possible and embrace the world as a larger embodiment of me, every particle and atom of me, I practice yoga, it helps with clarity and greater understanding to see the world as one mass of light and energy.
This site is based loosely on Buddha’s teaching of the four elements representing to me the essence of all physical matter, in other words things I can photograph. The four properties are cohesion (water), solidity or inertia (earth), expansion or vibration (air) and heat or energy content (fire).
